My recent shoot was with
Rita Ora at the
MEN Arena in Manchester. She had just finished rehearsals for hosting the EMA Awards in London (one of the biggest music awards in Europe). She headed straight up to Manchester where she performed an amazing show and then headed straight back down to London to continue rehearsals. That’s a serious work ethic – I’m not sure when she was planning on getting some sleep.
Rita Ora at the MEN Arena, Manchester
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Rita Ora quite a few times over the past couple of years when she’s been on tour. She is a true performer, an actress, a fashion designer and a genuinely nice person to be around. Always professional and always smiling, her heart and soul goes into her work, both on and off the stage.
Photographing Rita Ora at the MEN Arena, or any artist for that matter, whilst they are performing to thousands in the various music arenas up and down the country is an honour. Her stage presence is truly amazing and I love photographing her. I always try to capture the feeling and emotion when photographing
Live Music. I want to make anyone viewing my images feel like they are there. Like they were part of the audience. An artist like Rita who is so full of energy and emotion makes this so much easier.
Rita Ora at The Echo Arena, Liverpool
Photographing Rita Ora at the MEN Arena was amazing, and still to this day one of my favourite images ever taken whilst working as a
Music Photographer is of Rita performing. The image in question was taken on stage at
The Echo Arena, Liverpool. It was a brief moment when the crowd went wild, screaming, applauding and Rita just stood there on stage soaking in the atmosphere. It actually gave me goosebumps. That image is below and you can read the post and see the other images by following the link above.
